Jazz Musicians Vijay Iyer and George Lewis in Concert With Innovative Digital Improvising Device

Renowned jazz musician and composer Vijay Iyer and MacArthur Fellow, musician and experimental music scholar George Lewis will perform in concert along side the "Voyager" system, a digital device capable "listening" to human performers and improvising a musical response. Iyer will perform on a traditional 9 ft Steinway, Lewis on trombone, and the “Voyager” will play along using a Yamaha disklavier. This is the first time Iyer and Lewis have performed together and the first time Iyer has played with the "Voyager" system. The concert will start at 8 PM on Friday, February 10 in the Houghton Chapel. The concert is free and open to the public, parking on the Wellesley College campus is also free. Wellesley is located just 12 miles from Boston and is accessible by public transportation.
