Adam Bradley, Professor of English, University of Chicago, Boulder, is a scholar of African American literature and a writer on black popular culture. His commentary has appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Wall Street Journal as well as on PBS, NPR, and C?SPAN.
