Tree Rings: Ceramic Panoramas, Warren Mather
March 17 - April 29, 2012
Tree Rings by Warren Mather is an exhibition of walk around portraits of the trees of Arnold Arboretum in ceramic. Mather makes circular panoramas, presenting a simultaneous view of what is in front at the same time as what is behind. In this exhibition he creates inverse panoramas of the trunks of various trees. These images are transferred to silk-screens, printed in ceramic pigments on clay, then fired in glaze.
