    The MIT Open Ballroom Dance Competition is one of the largest collegiate ballroom dance competitions in the country. It attracts nearly 1000 dancers each year, from over 70 schools and studios.     The MIT Open Ballroom Dance Competition is one of the largest collegiate ballroom dance competitions in the country. It attracts nearly 1000 dancers each year, from over 70 schools and studios. Spanning two days, the event features amateur dancers competing at every level from Newcomer to Champ. From Smooth Waltz to International Samba, from American Rumba to Viennese Waltz, this competition has it all. The highlight of this event is the Saturday evening Open Session, featuring a showcase and competition with the most advanced dancers in attendance.
