    The Weckmann Project

The Weckmann Project began when seven Boston-based musicians got together to read the rarely played works of Matthias Weckmann, who wrote some of the most beautiful and difficult chamber music of the 17th century. Half a year later, the project has expanded to include music by Castello, Frescobaldi, Ferro, Allegri, and many others. We take take great delight in inviting you to our inaugural concert, to be held in the lovely Gordon Chapel in Copley Square's historic Old South Church.

Please join us for a short and sweet program of 17th century music from Italy and Germany, played on period instruments with authentic performance techniques.
