Home School Woodworking
April 5 - June 14, 2012
Our woodworking program welcomes ages 4 to 17. As students gain experience, they build skills and familiarity with tools and materials. Younger children start with hand tools and small projects; continuing students undertake more complex projects, gaining appreciation for wood as a creative medium. Teens advance to shop etiquette, milling, joinery, layout and basic power tools.
Each class incorporates beginners and experienced students, with new projects each session. Small classes allow for ample individual attention. All classes emphasize safety and the pleasure of making things and completing them to take home. Materials are provided for small projects; for larger projects, instructors will advise students to bring their own. Parents are welcome to stay if they wish.
