The Writer's ABCs of Facebook, Websites, Blogs, Twitter, and LinkedIn!
Presented by National Writers Union
April 12, 2012
Do you have some basic questions about LinkedIn, Twitter, or Facebook? Are you trying to decide between a blog and a website? What is the role of an eNewsletter? Is everyone urging you to "build your platform" but you're not sure where to start? Come to the first-ever NWU Boston interactive workshop to discuss the fundamentals of these social networks and online tools. Now that writers are so much more responsible for our own marketing and publicity, it is hard to ignore these opportunities. It can be difficult to get the kind of simple, straightforward information that allows you to make informed choices. In this workshop, you'll be able to ask basic questions. Our three panelists are seasoned social networkers. We'd love to hear about your own experiences as well. Jeannette de Beauvoir (prolific author) has extensive experience with websites. Barry Hock (communications strategist) is NWU administrator for Facebook and Twitter. Sue Katz (wordsmith and rebel) is a long-time blogger and editor of eNewsletters. All three are very active on Facebook.
