Slow Art Day at PEM
April 28, 2012
PEM joins more than 90 museums worldwide for the fourth annual Slow Art Day, a grassroots project about taking the time to see art more deeply. Begin the day at your own pace, viewing up to 10 artworks of your own choice or from a suggested list available at the information desk. Then, meet others in the Atrium Café at 2 pm to talk about the experience. Previous participants described surprising insights and great conversations, and left the museum feeling "inspired, not tired."
Phillip Prodger, curator of photography, will lead a gallery talk through the newest exhibition Natural Histories: Photographs by Barbara Bosworth. Meet at the information desk for the tour at 1pm.
