    Love Songs in the Age of Ronsard

    Parthenia, New York’s premiere viol consort, will present Love Songs in the Age of Ronsard, a program of chansons and fantasies from Renaissance France, on Saturday, April 21 at 7:30 PM at Hancock United Church of Christ, 1912 Mass. Ave in Lexington, Massachusetts. Special guests will be Jason McStoots, tenor and Duo Maresienne (Carol Lewis, viol and Olav Chris Henriksen, lute).

    Repertoire will be music written between 1498 and 1621 by Claude Le Jeune, Guillaume Costeley, Julio Segni da Modena, Gabriel Coste, François Regnard, André Pevernage, Michael Praetorius, Eustache du Caurroy and Pierre Bonnet, along with selections by Duo Maresienne.
