    Highland Glee Club Spring Concert

The Spring Concert always features the performance by an area student who is planning to enter musical study as a career and is selected by audition for a scholarship from the club. The talented winner this year is 18 year old Aaron Wolff, a cellist from Newton South HS. A very brief listing of his accomplishments includes First Prize in the Boston Symphony Concerto Competition (2010), appearing on the radio show "From the Top", summers studying and performing at the Aspen Music Festival, Bowdoin International Music Festival and Greenwood Music Camp. He was also a lead actor in the Coen brothers movie, "A Serious Man", which won an independent film award in 2010. He will begin the joint degree program at Oberlin College and Conservatory this fall. His program will be:

Bach's Prelude from Suite No. 5 and Rachmaninoff's Sonata, Opus 19

The glee club will be singing a variety of pieces, including Cole Porter, Vaughan Williams, John Heiss and English folksongs.
