The centerpiece of our spring concert is Haydn’s Missa Angustiis, popularly known as the “Lord Nelson” Mass. The “Lord Nelson” Mass was written in a time of war and upheaval in Europe, and ends with grand plea for peace – as relevant in our time as it was in Haydn’s.
