    The third workshop in the series Learning from the Past will move outdoors at Ventfort Hall to study the property’s horticulture and historical tree specimens planned originally by renowned horticulturalist John Huss, who headed the landscape staff under owner George Morgan. The program benefits Berkshire County teachers to gain credit points toward their professional licensure. Katherine Vause, MSEd., Ventfort Hall’s education director, is facilitating the program.Ventfort Hall has secured a grant from the Housatonic Heritage Foundation that allows the organization to offer the free Learning from the Past series to teachers in K-12 classrooms for the history and social studies core curriculum. $16 non-member; $14 member
