    George H. Gordon, a resident of Framingham, and active member of the Boston community in the mid 1800's, played a prominent role in the Civil War. Until now, however, his contributions had been largely overlooked by historians.     George H. Gordon, a resident of Framingham, and active member of the Boston community in the mid 1800's, played a prominent role in the Civil War.
