    Brahms: Ein deutsches Requiem

    Presented by

    May 12, 2012

    Brahms: Ein deutsches Requiem

One of the greatest works in the classical choral repertoire, Ein deutsches Requiem (The German Requiem) is an enduring testament to the cycle of death, sorrow, comfort, and serenity, transcending the boundaries of creeds to envelop the listener.

We offer this performance of Ein deutsches Requiem to the memory of F. John Adams (1945-2011), Music Director of the Concord Chorus from 1982-2001.

The Requiem laid the cornerstone of the Concord Chorus, conducted first in 1946 by Nancy Loring, and most recently with F. John Adams in 1993.
