Come see Eric Robertson and the Boston Boys perform at Johnny D's! The Boston Boys is a band from the hotbed of talented young players in the hip Boston music scene, and have created quite a buzz while touring the past two years at festivals and clubs. Featuring singer-songwriter and psychedelic soul mandolinist Eric Robertson, the band lineup rotates between an all-star cast of young musicians having included Nick Falk, Stash Wyslouch, Noam Wiesenberg, Nate Leath, Vishal Nayack, Duncan Wickel, Josh Hari, Mike Barnett, Alex Hargreaves, Eddie Barbash, Julian Lage, and many more. The band has played at prestigious festivals and events including Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival, Pagosa Springs Folk Festival, Strawberry Park, Boothbay Harbor Opera House, and consistently performs for a rapidly growing fanbase at venues all over the northeast. The members have performed with music legends from various genres such as Herbie Hancock, David Grisman, Tim O’Brien Billy Hart, Jonathan Edwards, Riley Baugus, and Jamey Haddad to name a few. The Boston Boys sound is contemporary roots rock, blending reverence for the Beatles and the energy of the Avett Brothers with hints of Appalachian string band music. The goal of the Boston Boys is to create tasteful, accesible, groovy, meaningful music with the highest regard for musicianship and instrumental skill.
