Zoorassic Park: Dinosaurs at Franklin Park Zoo!
May 26 - September 3, 2012
As visitors are immersed in a prehistoric journey through time at Franklin Park Zoo’s Zoorassic Park, they will be enthralled by the vast array of fascinating dinosaurs awaiting them. Journey into prehistoric times and encounter dinosaurs including a Chasmosaurus and baby, a Cryolophosaurus, a Dilophosaurus and many others all nestled within the trees, bushes and undergrowth for a truly realistic experience. These large animatronic dinosaurs will excite visitors of all ages with their lifelike sounds and movements. From the imposing Tyrannosaurus Rex to a variety of other dinosaurs including a Massospondylus, which means “massive vertebra,” an Ornithomimus, which had a bird-like bone structure, to many others, this is a unique experience not to be missed!
Kids will also have fun pretending they are paleontologists at the nearby Dino Dig where they can “dig” for recreations of fossils and bones.
The exhibit is sponsored by the Empire Loan Charitable Foundation, which was created to support a wide range of community activities in and around the neighborhoods where Empire Loan operates. WCVB-TV 5 is the media sponsor.
