Silent Film Piccadilly with Original New Score Performed Live
May 7, 2012
The Coolidge Corner Theatre's Sounds of Silents series presents director E.A. Dupont's 1929 silent film classic Piccadilly, accompanied by a specially commissioned new score composed and conducted by Professor Sheldon Mirowitz and his students at Berklee College of Music's Department of Film Scoring. A tale of desire, rivalry, and betrayal, Piccadilly stars Chinese-American screen goddess Anna May Wong as a scullery maid-turned-dancer at a posh London nightclub whose rise to celebrity ends in tragedy.
