Every two years, students who are blind or visually impaired travel hundreds of miles to participate in a song-filled celebration. This year, Perkins School for the Blind hosts the Music is Our Vision Festival, featuring more than 130 talented student singers and musicians who attend six special schools for the blind. This year also marks Perkins’ 100th anniversary in Watertown, Mass. Students come from as far as North Carolina and Canada to participate in the exhilarating spring concert. You’re invited, too. Come to Perkins on Saturday, April 28 at 7:30 PM, for an uplifting evening filled with folk songs, Broadway show tunes, and music from around the world, including a captivating Peruvian melody. The concert is free and all ages are welcome. The event will be held in Dwight Hall, on Perkins’ historic campus located at 175 North Beacon Street in Watertown, Mass. Free parking is available in the Beechwood Avenue parking lot.
