On Saturday, June 30, gimmeLIVE presents New Orleans multi-Grammy winning legend Aaron Neville with his quintet featuring his brother, Charles. Aaron Neville has been recording multi-platinum hits since his Tell It Like It Is topped the charts in 1967. His triple-platinum album with Linda Ronstadt won a Grammy in 1989 and his 1991 cover of Everybody Plays the Fool was a world-wide #1 hit. In his new CD, the first recorded after Hurricane Katrina destroyed his home, Neville's music grows deeply spiritual, weaving together gospel, R&B, soul and traditional New Orleans themes. Gloucester band-leader/vocalist Henri Smith, a New Orleans native, will open the show with his band New Orleans Friends & Flavours. Henri Smith's band featuring Charles Neville was the headliner for Celebrate Gloucester 2010.
