The Hive at the Griffin Museum of Photography in collaboration with local students
June 16, 2012
On Saturday June 16th, 2012 members of the art collective SWARM! will join forces with students from the Boston area to transform the Griffin Museum of Photography into a HIVE of inspired dance, sculpture and sound. After workshops with professional artists and dancers the students will display their work for the public from 6-8:30pm. We invite you to join us in celebration of our collaborative efforts.
Last year a team of local artists, including Winchester residents Andrea Zampitella and Larry Frisoli, debuted an interactive hive structure at the Mobius Gallery in Boston. This year the same structure will act as a creative platform for students from Winchester Public Schools and other local towns as they contribute music, dance and art. The art collective SWARM is still accepting students, 7th grade and up, who wish to participate in these workshops.
Interested participants can contact Andrea Zampitella at email@example.com and visit www.bostonswarm.org for more information. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Winchester Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
