Join the Boston Landmarks Orchestra for a night of Latin beats, including salsa and traditional classical music. The Boston Landmarks Orchestra’s 2012 Landmarks Festival at the Shell will feature Latin music for its “Fiesta Sinfónica.” This special performance, which will showcase a salsa band, will take place on July 18 at the DCR Hatch Shell on the Esplanade. During the show, the orchestra will premiere two new pieces, Caribeña by Miguel DelAguila and Viaje (Afro Latin-Suite) by Gonzalo Grau. Christopher Wilkins will conduct the orchestra as they also perform Mambo by Leonard Bernstein and Danzón No. 2 by Arturo Márquez.
