Come see Brendan Little play at Johnny D's! Brendan Little was born and raised in Boston MA. He started to play guitar at age 11 mostly inspired by various punk bands. In his early teens he ran away from home finding refuge in the street kids in both Boston and New York City. Most of his teens were spent in and out of trouble battling with substance abuse.
He started to write songs at age 15 during a long stay at a rehab. There his musical influences changed from punk to bands like Radiohead and U2. Also to the likes of songwriters such as Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan. Newly sober he nurtured his new found love of writing songs. He began to sing about the darkness of his past as well as the hope for his future. All the time performing these songs in the streets and subways of both Boston and New York.
He met producer Perry Geyer in 2004 while playing on Newbury Street in Boston. Perry called his friend Jon Carin to ask if he’d like to produce Brendan’s record with him. The three hit it off and have created his debut album, GOODBYE ALONE, a beautiful record of rich texture, honesty, and appeal.
Brendan, only 19 years old, is wise beyond his years and anticipates a long career of sharing his music with the world.
