Moments of Play 10-Minute Play Festival

The Salem Theatre Company brings its popular Moments of Play (MoP) festival of original 10-minute plays back to the stage from Wednesday, July 11 through Sunday, July 15 at the STC Theater, 90 Lafayette Street in downtown Salem.
The ten selected plays for the Sixth Annual Moments of Play festival will be presented Wednesday, July 11 through Friday, July 13 at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday & Sunday, July 14 & 15 at 5:00 p.m. Tickets are $15.
The festival’s 10-play program features playwrights from across the country, and were selected from over 800 plays submitted from around the globe including Iraq, Australia, France, England and New Zealand. The festival also features directorial and STC acting debuts alongside STC “regulars.”
On Saturday, July 14 at 7:30 p.m., three nationally recognized playwrights will gather on the STC stage to discuss and review the ten plays presented this year. The public is invited to this free event which features panelists Richard Dresser, Ronan Noone and Kate Snodgrass.
The ten 10-Minute Plays to be performed this year are Disconnections by Peter Kennedy of Williamsburg, MA, Beauty by Allan Baker of Austin, TX, Award Winning Entry by Jeff Neuman of Denver, CO, Dixie Love Conjure Ball by Tom Deiker of Clive, IA, Kung Foolery by Brett Hursey of Farmville, VA, Operation Sweet Dream by Suzanne Bailey of Seattle, WA, Party Lights by Kevin Snipes of Woodside, NY, The Body Washer by Rosemary Frisino Toohey of Baltimore, MD, and Reinventing the Wheel by Megan Lohne and The Adjective Noun of Verb by Joshua Cohen both of New York, NY.
