With a shared passion for country, roots rock, bluegrass and mountain music Elena Skye (Chicago, Ill.) and Boo Reiners (Charlotte, N.C.) front the NYC based alt-country/Americana band Demolition String Band. Their newest CD, “Gracious Days”, was released March 6, 2012, on the L.A. based label Varese Sarabande Records. Produced by three-time Grammy winner Steve Rosenthal (Ollabelle) “Gracious Days” features their heartfelt and inspired musical fire.
Since their first album “One Dog Town” was released over a decade ago, and with tours of the States and Europe, numerous TV and radio appearances, The Demolition String Band has continued to perfect their mix of Americana, country and bluegrass, opening for bands like The Avett Brothers, Ryan Adams, Patti Smith, Robert Randolph, Joan Osborne, Southern Culture On The Skids (with whom they’ve done numerous tours), Railroad Earth, Ricky Skaggs, Asleep At The Wheel, Donna The Buffalo, Ollabelle, Roger McGuinn and more.
