The Boston Music Festival offers a contemporary view of the urban music scene in and around Boston celebrating the best of Hip-Hop, R & B, Funk and Soul.

The mission of the Boston Urban Music Festival is to lend a voice to local artists outside the mainstream by providing them with an outlet for artistic expression. The concert will also feature a nationally known headliner who has brought this type of music to national stages.

This year's headliner is Outasight, an American singer and rapper from Yonkers, New York. Though he is considered a Pop artist, he draws influence from other genres such as hip hop, classic rock and soul, and describes his music as "Energetic hip hop mixed with melodic soul.”

There will also be performances by the Bad Rabbits, Phil Ade and several other local groups. Check back frequently for more details.
