Oklahoma presented by Arts Alliance Summer Drama Workshop Youth Theater Friday July 27, 7:30 pm Saturday July 28, 7:30 pm Oklahoma will be performed by the high school students of the Arts Alliance Summer Drama Workshop at Hudson High School, 69 Brigham Street on Friday, July 27, and Saturday, July 28 at 7:30 pm. Oklahoma! was the first musical written by the team of composer Richard Rodgers and librettist Oscar Hammerstein II. The musical is based on the novel Green Grow the Lilacs by Lynn Riggs. Set in the Oklahoma Territory just before statehood the musical was an unprecedented success running for 2, 212 performances, later enjoying award winning revivals, national and international tours and an Academy award winning film adaptation.
