Legally Blonde The Musical- (Youth Summer Program)
July 28 - July 29, 2012
The ever so fashionable Elle Woods never takes no for an answer because she would consider that a major character flaw. So, when this sorority president’s boyfriend dumps her for someone more serious she decides to take some serious measures. She hits the books and goes to Harvard Law School proving that anything is possible once you put your mind to it. It is a wild ride, Harvard will never be the same, and in the process she learns that being true to yourself is really the only way to go. She offers some creative fashion advice along the way and teaches a few life lessons, too.
Legally Blonde was created by some of Broadway’s brightest and most talented including Tony award winning choreographer Jerry Mitchell in his directorial debut. Mitchell’s credits include Hairspray, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and The Full Monty. The lyrics are by the writing team of Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin. The book is by Heather Hatch the co-writer of the hit film “Freaky Friday”.
This feel good production has interesting characters, a fun storyline and a resolution that is sure to make everyone happy. Legally Blonde tells a story through humor and music while teaching the audience a thing or two about life.
