Presented by at St. Peter's Episcopal Church

    July 24, 2012

Ensemble 1729: Music for Recorder and Flute

Montréal's Ensemble 1729 will present an imaginative programme of eighteenth century music for recorder and flute featuring 2012 Opus Prize winner Vincent Lauzer on recorder, flautist Joanna Marsden, cellist Camille Paquette-Roy, and Boston's very own Matthew Hall on harpsichord. Inspired by Corelli's opus V, the programme will include unusual trios by Prowo and Quantz, a sonata from Mattheson's der Brauchbare Virtuoso, a virtuosic Corelli transcription, and an original adaptation of Telemann's first Sonata Corellisierende.
