They’re perfectly matched for this complex, sophisticated, extremely heartfelt symphony, written at the zenith of the great composer’s career.

There’s also a common thread masterly woven throughout this program: the passacaglia. It’s one of the most intriguing of all art forms; in the hands of the masters, it is pure genius. The intrigue continues as two of our principals perform Handel’s famous passacaglia for violin and viola with an original orchestral arrangement.
