Bartok’s exhilarating Concerto for Orchestra is the undisputed piece that tests the virtuosity of an orchestra. It’s perfectly paired with the Finals of our Concerto Competition. Audience voting will determine who will be the next classical star, The Soloist.

The contender: Bartok’s Concerto for Orchestra.

Our musicians must draw on every technical skill they have to take on the composer’s tremendous rhythmic and melodic variety. They must also have the tenacity for it. Like protagonists in a concerto, each section has a moment to shine in this exotic, mysterious and complex piece. The result is absolutely exhilarating.

Pairing this piece with the Finals of our concerto competition has not been left to providence. Our three finalists will have the rare opportunity to perform with the orchestra; you will have the rare opportunity to decide their fate. Audience voting alone will determine who will be the next classical star, The Soloist.
