Create presents the work of twenty artists with developmental disabilities who have been active at one of three pioneering studios: Oakland’s Creative Growth Art Center, Creativity Explored in San Francisco, and NIAD Art Center in Richmond. Including painting, sculpture, drawing, prints, photography, and text-based art, Create reveals nearly three decades of remarkable work from these small but in?uential artistic communities. This exhibition is curated by Lawrence Rinder and Matthew Higgs, organized by the UC Berkeley Art Museum/Pacific Film Archive and Independent Curators International.
