    November 9, 2012

    Chansons Profanes

Celebrating anniversaries of Claude Debussy (1862-1918) and Jean Françaix (1912-97), this concert features French music from the twentieth century that combines humor and virtuosity. It includes little-known works by Ravel, Fauré and Poulenc who set the texts of some of France’s most distinguished poets, such as Valéry, Eluard and Victor Hugo.
