From the steppes of Mongolia by way of Beijing, Hanggai is a crossover band that blends traditional Mongolian music and throat singing with rock and pop music. Their 2008 freshman release, Introducing Hanggai, received critical acclaim, and the band’s refreshing interpretations of the traditional Mongolian songs of their steppe leads the audience on an exhilarating musical journey.
