WUMB and Berklee Fox Point Music Series: Carly Tefft

WUMB 91.9 FM, Boston’s NPR music station, and Berklee College of Music have teamed up to present a new concert series bringing free live music to Dorchester every Sunday in August. The concerts feature Berklee student and alumni groups performing acoustic sets. Fox Point Music Series is part of Berklee Summer in the City presented by Natixis Global Asset Management. For a full schedule, visit berklee.edu/events/summer.

Carly Tefft is an 18-year-old Berklee student and singer-songwriter from Cape Cod, MA, who counts the Police, Carol King, Jason Mraz, and Colbie Calliat as inspirations. She began writing songs in high school, and by graduation had released a self-produced EP on which she played all of the instruments (drums, bass, guitar, piano, and vocals). Tefft plans to release a five-song EP, Loud and Clear, in 2012.
