music such as spirits love: Janacek, Musgrave, Fang, Brahms
February 2 - February 3, 2013

Thea Musgrave creates a portrait of the classic Commedia dell’Arte love triangle, and Brahms felt so much guilt after a botched affair that he wove her name into his rapturous G Major sextet, writing afterward: "I have freed myself from my last love."
