Join this introductory class to learn the basics of fusing glass to metal, working with a range of colored enamel powders you will explore an ancient process in which vitreous glass (enamel) is fused and bonded onto metal by the application of heat through kiln firing. You'll learn about metal preparation, form development, design techniques, kiln properties and methods for firing. No prior jewelry making, enameling, or metalworking experience necessary. Students should bring $20.00 cash or check to the first class to purchase materials.
