    Newpoli is a group of exceptionally talented musicians, professionally trained at prestigious schools in Italy, Europe, and the US. who perform an exciting and joyful mix of traditional folk music and dance from southern Italy.

    The group has been enthusiastically received in theaters and concert halls throughout the United States and Europe, with audiences mesmerized by the vitality, energy and spice of their music. The group’s debut CD “Newpoli”has been heard across the U.S. through radio play and TV broadcasting. The eight-piece ensemble has been nominated four times since 2008 by the Boston Phoenix Music Poll in the category “Best World Music Act”.

    Founded in 2003, Newpoli has been enthusiastically received at prestigious venues and festivals throughout the United States and Europe and made their European debut at Diacetum Festival in Tuscany, Italy. Other recent performances in the U.S. include Northeastern University (MA), Hofstra University (NY), Stanford University (CA), Regattabar (MA), DROM (New York), Santa Cruz Foundation for the Performing Arts (AZ), Rhythm and Roots (AZ), Berks Jazz Fest (PA), Berklee Performance Center (MA), Middletown Concert Series (CT), ), and Colby-Sawyer College (NH) and many others.
