Wieland Kuijken, the legendary Belgian master of the viola da gamba, joins Eva Legêne, the distinguished Dutch recorder virtuoso, and American harpsichordist Arthur Haas, who has just won Early Music America’s coveted Thomas Binkley Award. Each one will take a turn as a soloist of mesmerizing elegance in a program that begins in Baroque France, with gorgeous, courtly music of Leclair, Marais, Rameau, and Couperin.  After intermission, the Bach family is embraced, with a recorder sonata by C.P. E. Bach, a sonata for gamba and obbligato harpsichord by J. S. Bach, and the culmination:  J. S. Bach's great trio sonata in G Major, BWV 1039--pensive and tender, then sprightly and dancing with joy.
