Voices of Hope: Together For Life
September 15, 2012
Legendary singer/songwriter Livingston Taylor will join local performance group Voices of Hope at their fourth annual fundraising gala on Saturday, September 15, at Boston’s Jordan Hall. Voices of Hope is comprised of more than 100 local musical theater performers who donate their time and talent to raise awareness and funds for cancer research.
The event begins with a cocktail reception and silent auction at 7:00 pm, followed by an entertaining evening of song and dance featuring popular, traditional and Broadway music that illustrate the fight to conquer cancer and paint a compelling picture of hope that a cure is possible.
Guided by master of ceremonies Jordan Rich of WBZ News Radio 1030, the concert will feature performances by special guest artists Candy O’Terry (well known on air personality at Magic 106.7,WMJX Boston), singer/songwriter Livingston Taylor and several of the Andover High School Choirs, which recently won a $25,000 grant for their music program in the national “GLEE Give a Note” contest.
Tickets for the event are $37 to $67 and can be purchased by contacting the Jordan Hall Box Office at 617-585-1260. All proceeds from the gala will go to the Henri and Belinda Termeer Center for Targeted Therapies at Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center. For more information visit www.voicesofhopeboston.org
