Lorraine Chapman the Company 10th Anniversary
November 2 - November 11, 2012
My name is Lorraine Chapman and LCTC has become my life's passion. My 10th Anniversary Showcase is monumental to me and is the culmination of not only ten but 38 years of serious, hard, and dedicated work. I truly love dance, which is to me at its best and most intoxicating, the ultimate form of human expression. This is what LCTC does, we strive for the most honest and genuine unveiling of what it is to be. Your support of my dance company will keep my vision alive and help us continue to work, dream, play, create, delve, develop, construct, deconstruct and turn ourselves inside/out for audiences curious and willing to enter our image-worlds … and dream with us … and experience with us. Please help us do what we live and love!
What You Will See!
LCTC needs $8850 to produce our series of six unique and unforgettable performances this November. The series is going to showcase repertoire from 2005 to the present and include “the changing room”, “Pulp Tango”, “Gilbert & George”, “Safe Space”, “the solemn moment”, and “Good Enough For Me”. Two collaborations will be presented, “Where’s The Magic?” with Alissa Cardone and Joe Burgio and “Underneath the blue shirt” with Chris Alloways-Ramsey and Ramiro Vaughan. Special guest performers include Sandy Lacy, Catherine Musinsky, and The Boston Conservatory. To celebrate LCTC’s ten years, Diane Arvanites and David Parker have set new solo works on Lorraine Chapman, and she will also be dancing Marcus Schulkind’s “Let Bygones Be” not seen since 2003.
