    Community Concert: Meet the Orchestra!

New Philharmonia Orchestra presents Community Concert: Meet the Orchestra!
    Sponsored by The Village Bank

The New Phil, Newton’s premiere symphony, presents a casual and imaginative community concert for everyone! Have you ever wondered why the violins are in two sections? Or if a bass can fit in a taxi? We’ll answer these questions and more in a hysterical performance of Nathaniel Stookey’s and Lemony Snicket’s The Composer is Dead! This fun symphonic “whodunit?” shows off every section of the orchestra in a witty way. There’s even a side-by-side performance with local youth musicians! A terrific experience for music fans of all ages – from toddlers to teens, young adults to grandparents!

New Phil’s special guests include Newton’s All-City Orchestra, directed by Greg Livingston, and narrator Jake Berger.

New Phil’s famous Instrument Petting Zoo follows the concert; audience members of all ages are invited to meet and try the orchestra instruments! Visit or call 617.527.9717 for more info and to order tickets in advance!
