Presented by Boston Choral Ensemble at Edward M. Pickman Concert Hall
November 11, 2012
Celebrating anniversaries of Claude Debussy (1862-1918) and Jean Françaix (1912-1997), this concert features French music from the twentieth century that combines humor and virtuosity. It includes little-known works by Ravel, Fauré and Poulenc who set the texts of some of France’s most distinguished poets, such as Valéry, Eluard and Victor Hugo.
