The Department of Visual and Performing Arts presents "Macbeth"

    By William Shakespeare

    Adapted by the Genesis Project

Directed by Richard J. Piatt, O.S.A.

What happens in a digital age where kings, king-makers, and the population itself suffer from an increasing paranoia about enemies, both foreign and home grown? Shakespeare’s classic drama about unbridled ambition and political machinations receives a fresh treatment by The Genesius Project (last season’s The 9/11 Effect). Presented in the original language and featuring a cast of students, alumni and associate actors of Merrimack Theatre, this Macbeth is a dark look at the pyschology of ambition and madness.
