Rose Polenzani, whose songs are always shot through with keening, heart-wrenching melody and vivid, starling images, will bring her singular vision to the circle. Matt Lorenz (performing as the jaw-dropping, throat-singing, slide-guitar playing, one-man band The Suitcase Junket) will play his invented instruments while singing in several voices at once. Reading from her award-winning volumes, Copper Canyon Press poet Lisa Olstein (winner the Pushcart Prize) will draw the audience into the fibrous dreamscape of her poetry. We have saved the most luminous evening for last.
