LECTURES
Holiday Tea with Best American Short Stories
Presented by Women's National Book Association-Boston at Fairmont Copley Plaza
December 2, 2012
The Story Behind Best American Short Stories
For readers and aspiring writers across the country, Best American Short Stories has long been mandatory annual reading—but have you ever wondered what goes into the making of each year's edition? Series editor Heidi Pitlor will share a behind-the-scenes look at the classic anthology, and authors Jennifer Haigh and Edith Pearlman will read from their contributions to this year’s edition, at the Women's National Book Association/Boston's Holiday Tea. Eat your fill of scrumptious sandwiches and desserts, and enjoy an insider’s glimpse of the writing and publishing process. For those whose library shelves are already full, WNBA will also be collecting gently-used books for donation to More Than Words while at the Tea. See here for a list of acceptable genres: http://mtwyouth.org/book_donations/book_donation_guidelines/
