 Luminarium Dance Company will bring the final performance of its newest full-length production, Mythos:Pathos, to OBERON in November. The work explores lesser-known characters and under-examined storylines of Greek mythology from a contemporary viewpoint. The familiar myths are woven into a cohesive saga, while colored with the innovative choreography of Luminarium directors Merli V. Guerra and Kimberleigh A. Holman. Mythos:Pathos also features nontraditional lighting design that manifests in many unique ways, from wearable to handheld lighting. Come rediscover the myths of Icarus, Prometheus, and Andromeda, take in the mesmerizing yet destructive sirens, and view the idea of hubris as movement in Luminarium's "exploration of performance art, light and the infinite" (Somerville Journal).
