    "Experience" from Juventas

    Presented by

    December 8 - December 9, 2012

From Juventas' Project Fusion comes "Expérience".  A unique and unforgettable classical performance event that incorporates a ballet set in Cyberspace, a movement-based instrumental work, a chamber opera, and more!

Each year, Juventas' Project Fusion brings you collaborative projects, from live painting, to politics, to choral works by composers and performers under 35.

Graham Flett’s As if your Human Shape incorporates movement into an instrumental work. Phivos-Angelos Kollias' Expérience for instrumentalists, narrator and active perception incorporates the listener into its soundscape and Moshe Shulman's chamber opera Desire to Sleep brings Chekhov's dark tale to life. Core violinist Yohanan Chendler will show off his compositional talents with Sumerian Poems, featuring Yoni Kahn on natural horn.

In addition, you will have an opportunity to preview an excerpt of Peter Lane's new ballet, to be featured in full in Juventas' 2013-2014 season. HackPolitik, choreographer by Kate Lademheim with People Movers Dance (NYC) represents the global hacktivist group known as Anonymous, setting the politics and drama of cyberspace through dance, music and electronics. The piece is a surrealist exploration of how technology has revolutionized dissidence in the 21st century, blurring the lines between activism and anarchy.
