    Beethoven's Birthday: String Quartets

    Like the thirty-two piano sonatas, Beethoven's sixteen string quartets are a complete body of work that is studied from beginning to end. The week of Beethoven's birthday, NEC chamber music students participating in the Beethoven Quartet Seminar, continue an annual tradition by performing some of these works.
