Join St. Damien & St. Dianna of Street Corner Society in a raucous & ritualistic celebration as they incinerate the old year and open the new with a stunning combination of modern spectacle & ancient debauchery. Some of the most exciting young performers from Boston’s burgeoning burlesque scene will join Dianna and Damien on stage. The first show begins at 7pm and repeats on the hour through 12am, with a special celebration in the moments leading up to midnight. The festivities take place at the Hynes Convention Center as part of First Night Boston.

DAMIANA’S DIVINE DOMINION is inspired by Bacchanalian Winter Solstice celebrations, in which women would secretly gather to celebrate Dionysus, the Greek God of Wine. Women would imbibe, indulge in dancing and promiscuity amongst one another, and make the occasional sacrifice to strengthen fertility. In honor of this tradition, St. Dianna & St. Damien will present, in a night of burlesque performance, a hypnotic celebration of diabolic feminine potency appropriate for the ritualistic birthing of a New Year. Performers include Penny Candy, Dinah Deville, Femme Bones, Anna Phylaxis, Honey Pie, Pamela Passion, Landis Darling and more!
