The Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Visual Arts is a low-residency program that attracts students from all over the country as well as internationally who want to earn a master's degree without relocating, giving up their day jobs, or taking classes online.
The residencies are intense – students spend ten days on campus each semester with fellow students and faculty advisors, who are working practitioners in the field. The students then return home to create their artwork, meet with their local mentors, and continue their dialogue with Faculty Advisors at The Art Institute of Boston.
